The background story
The history of UrbanMines goes back more than 15 years. It started with the business of a waste printed circuit board and copper scrap recycling company, which gradually evolved into the materials technology and recycling company UrbanMines is today.
April. 2007
Launched the head office in HongKong Started recycling, dismantling and processing of waste electronic circuit boards such as PCB & FPC in HongKong. The company name UrbanMines referred to its historical roots of materials recycling.
Sept.2010
Launched Shenzhen China branch Recycling copper alloy stamping scraps from electronic connector and lead frame stamping plants in South China (Guangdong Province), Setted up a professional scrap processing plant.
May.2011
Started to import IC Grade & Solar Grade primary polycrystalline silicon waste or substandard silicon materials from oversea to China.
Oct. 2013
Shareholding invested in Anhui Province to set up a pyrite products processing plant, engaged in pyrite ore dressing and powder processing.
May. 2015
Shareholding invested and established a metallic salt compounds processing plant in Chongqing city, engaged in the production of high-purity oxides&compounds of strontium, barium, nickel and manganese, and entered the time of the research and development and production for rare metal oxides&compounds.
Jan.2017
Shareholding invested and established a metallic salt compounds processing plant in Hunan Province, engaged in the research and development and production of high-purity oxides&compounds of antimony, indium, bismuth and tungsten. UrbanMines increasingly positions itself as a specialty materials company throughout ten-years’ development. Its focus was now value metal recycling and advanced materials such as pyrite and rare metallic oxides&compounds.

Shareholding invested in Jiangxi Province to set up a rare earth compounds processing plant, engaged in the research and development and production of high-purity rare earth oxides&compounds. Shareholding investing to the manufacture of rare metal oxides&compounds successfully, UrbanMines determined to extend the product line to Rare-Earth oxides&compounds.
Dec.2021
Increased and improved the OEM production and processing system of high-purity oxides&compounds of cobalt, cesium, gallium, germanium, lithium, molybdenum, niobium, tantalum, tellurium, titanium, vanadium, zirconium, and thorium.
